What BHCA positions are open? How long are the terms?

According to the BHCA Bylaws, three positions on the Bay Highlands Civic Association (BHCA) Board of Directors are up for election in 2022. Those positions are President, Secretary, and one Member-at-Large. All elected directors will serve a two year term.

Who is eligible to serve on the BHCA Board of Directors?

Anyone whose name appears as a Bay Highlands property owner on State of Maryland records is considered a member of Bay Highlands Civic Association and is eligible to serve on the board. Members who maintain their principle residence in Bay Highlands are eligible to be officers. Members-at-Large may maintain their principle residence outside Bay Highlands. (Property records determine principle residence.)

Mike Thorpe
I have been a BH resident at 1179 Bay Highlands since 2003 and have seen the neighborhood evolve and grow during those 19 years.
I have board experience being a member of the UMBC Advisory Board, and on my companies' Lean Six Sigma review board.
I have deep community roots here in Annapolis; I am a volunteer soccer coach, have been a Pets-on-Wheels volunteer, and a restoration and docent volunteer for the Maritime Museum of Annapolis.
I'm interested and happy to pitch in to keep our neighborhood safe, clean, and environmentally in-balance.
