In an attempt to provide better security for our community, Tom Kane, Security & Safety Chair and I met with Michael Harris, Anne Arundel County Sheriff to discuss potential safety measures, and his services and cost.  The meeting concluded with the following actions.  Tom will prepare a Project Profile detailing Michael Harris’ services and cost; and cost for additional lights for Augusta Park.  The project will be presented for discussion with Michael Harris’s support in providing clarification to concerns and or questions at our next Board meeting.  The chair will call for a vote as required to implement recommended security enhancements.

 

A subsequent general meeting will be scheduled to discuss the Board’s decision.

 

As we attempt to enhance our community security procedures, let’s not forget that what ever we do, it is complementary to our personal security procedures.  We must continue to be vigilant.
